C T Online Desk: A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation has launched a campaign to stop the use of banned polythene in Reazuddin Bazar in the port city . On Sunday, CCC’s executive magistrate Marufa Begum Nelly led the drive to build an eco-friendly city.
During this time a large quantity of banned polythene was seized from the shopkeepers. Executive Magistrate Marufa Begum Nellie said they had been warned to seize banned polythene bags from shopkeepers during the raid at Reazuddin Bazaar. The buyers present at the time were instructed to dispose of the banned polythene bags. During the operation, the officers and employees of the concerned department of the City Corporation provided assistance to the Chittagong Metropolitan Police Magistrate.
