Govt working relentlessly to build a developed Bangladesh: Mir Helal

C T Online Desk: May 22, 2026- State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin MP, highlighted Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s efforts to enhance the living standards of the underprivileged in the country.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to building a prosperous Bangladesh through transforming the lives of the very poor and empowering them economically.

Speaking at an event organized by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief at Chikondandi Union Parishad premises in Hathazari Upazila, Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin distributed VGF rice to needy families in celebration of Eid-ul-Azha.

He urged the beneficiaries to be proactive and self-reliant in order to ensure the success of government development initiatives, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in building a prosperous nation.

The State Minister also distributed goats to registered fishermen families along the Halda River as part of an alternative employment programme. Additionally, he inaugurated the ‘Smart Street Lighting Development’ project in Hathazari Municipality, funded by the World Bank, which includes modern street lights at various locations.

Later,  Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin inaugurated the Kamalpara-Ramkuni Road and Shahjalal Para Carpeting Development Project in Hathazari Municipality. The programmes were attended by senior officials of the upazila and municipal administration, local public representatives, dignitaries, and political leaders.
