C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh: The construction of a “Farmers’ Market” has been inaugurated in Trishal, Mymensingh, with the aim of easily marketing the products produced by marginal farmers.
The construction work was inaugurated at an abandoned place next to the highway on Wednesday (May 6, 2026) morning by the initiative of Trishal Municipality. Those concerned said that it is expected that the market will be opened to the general public after completing the work quickly.
The sub-divisional engineer of the Mymensingh Roads and Highways Department, the officer-in-charge of Trishal Police Station, the assistant engineer of the municipality, the municipal executive officer, and local dignitaries were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Trishal Municipality informed that through this initiative, local farmers will have the opportunity to sell their produce directly, which will help ensure fair prices for farmers.
