C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : An attempt to forcibly occupy the ancestral land of a journalist family has been alleged in Charputimari Union of Islampur Upazila of Jamalpur. Locals claim that the accused are accused in multiple murder cases and are involved in various criminal activities, causing extreme panic in the area.
According to the complaint source, the Islampur Upazila correspondent of Dainik Sangram Patrika, Md. Monir Hossain, lives in Payasti village of Degreerchar. He has been occupying his ancestral land in Kismat Gobindi Mouza for a long time. However, he has alleged that an organized group from Degreerchar Akandapara area of the same union is trying to forcibly occupy his land. The victim family has filed a complaint with Islampur Police Station in this regard.
The victim alleged that on Friday, the 10th, at around 11 am, the accused entered his land in a group and tried to forcibly occupy it. When he and his people resisted, tension arose between the two parties and an argument started. When the victim called the national emergency service 999 to bring the situation under control, the police reached the spot and calmed the situation. However, while leaving the scene, the accused openly threatened to occupy the land by any means.
Journalist Monir Hossain and his family are suffering from extreme insecurity due to this incident. They fear a major attack or clash at any time.
