Journalists’ exchange of views with OC Mansur Ahmed

C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh :  A view-exchange meeting was held with local journalists with the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station in Mymensingh, Mansur Ahmed.

Journalists from various print and electronic media of the upazila were present at the meeting organized recently at Trishal Police Station. The meeting discussed openly the law and order situation, crime control, drug control and raising public awareness.

OC Mansur Ahmed said that the police are always trying to maintain the law and order situation in Trishal Upazila. Stating that the cooperation of journalists is very important in eliminating crime, he called for their role in increasing public awareness by publishing objective news.

MM also said, “If the police and journalists work together, it is possible to reduce crime in society to a large extent. If any information is reported to the police quickly, immediate action will be taken.”

The journalists present at the meeting expressed their views on various problems in Trishal, especially extortion, drugs and road safety, and demanded effective action on these issues.

The exchange of views was held in a cordial atmosphere and emphasis was placed on further strengthening coordination between the police and the media in the future.
