C T Online Desk: It has been decided to cancel the certificates of 4 FFs as the allegation of taking certificates of heroic freedom fighters was proved with false information. The decision was taken at the 7th meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council At that meeting, it was decided to cancel the certificates of 71 freedom fighters from all over the country, including 4 from greater Chittagong.
They are Ranjit Kumar Das of Patiya, Hafeez Ahmed of Satkania, Babul Kanti Das and Chan Mia of Matiranga of Khagrachhari. According to sources, after receiving the allegations against the said persons, two hearings were held from 2020 to January 2022. At the hearing, they could not present the necessary documents and witnesses of the freedom fighters as witnesses. Although some of them were members of the family of the heroic freedom fighter, they did not actively participate in the liberation war. But the freedom fighter was getting regular allowance with the certificate. The Ministry of Liberation War has stopped their allowance as it was proved to be false.
