President arrives his hometown Pabna on four-day visit

C T Online Desk: March 28, 2026- President Mohammed Shahabuddin arrived at his home town Pabna on a four-day official visit today.

The helicopter, carrying the President and his entourages, including family members, at Shaheed Advocate Amin Uddin Stadium Helipad here from Dhaka at 12:40 pm today.

At that time, Pabna-5 (Sadar) constituency MP Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas received him with a bouquet of flowers, President Press secretary Md Sarwar Alam told BSS.

Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner ANM Bazlur Rashid, Rajshahi Range DIG Md. Shahjahan, Pabna Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahed Mustafa, Superintendent of Police Anwar Zahid, District BNP Convener Habibur Rahman Habib, Pabna Press Club President Akhtaruzzaman Akhtar, General Secretary Zahurul Islam, among others, were present there.

Upon arrival at the Pabna Circuit House, the President was accorded a formal guard of honour and paid a courtesy call on local politicians and civil society.

It is the first visit of the Head of the State to his home town Pabna after the BNP-Government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman assumed the office.

Meanwhile, an intensified security measures have been taken by the Pabna district administration for his visit along with the other law enforcement agencies.

The Press Secretary said during the four-day visit, the President will offer dioa at the graves of his parents at Arifpur Graveyard in Pabna Sadar at 11:10 am tomorrow. He will then hold a view-exchange-meeting with journalists at the Pabna Press Club at 7 pm. Then he will return to the Circuit House at 8:10 pm and spend the night.

On Monday, he will visit Bhabanipur Mosque in Sadar Upazila at 11 am. The President will visit his Pabna city residence at 7 pm on the same day. He will return to Circuit House at 9 pm and spend the night.

President Shahabuddin will receive a guard of honor at Circuit House at 11:40 am on Tuesday, March 31. He will arrive at the helipad at Pabna Cadet College ground at 12 noon and leave Pabna for Bangabhaban by helicopter.
