C T Online Desk: March 26, 2026- State Minister for Lands and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, emphasized the importance of upholding the values of equality, human dignity, and social justice that the martyrs fought for the independence of the country.
In a ceremony held at the Liberation War Memorial in Uttar Kattali, Chattogram this morning, the State Minister paid tribute on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh at 6:25 am to commemorate the great Independence and National Day.
After paying tribute, he stood in silence at the memorial premises to honor the martyrs and pray for their souls. He called on the administration and the public to work together to implement government development plans and deliver services to the people.
On this Independence Day, he urged everyone to pledge to build a prosperous and exploitation-free Bangladesh. He highlighted the government’s commitment to modernizing the country and decentralizing power under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s leadership.
The government’s manifesto focuses on public welfare and decentralization, and the State Minister encouraged all citizens to actively participate in implementing this new vision for a truly democratic Bangladesh.
Following the State Minister’s tribute, City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Zia Uddin, Deputy Commissioner Zahidul Islam Miah, CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz, and Range DIG Ahsan Habib Palash also paid their respects.
