C T Online Desk: The district administration has evicted 29 illegal shops from the front of City College in the city. The eviction was carried out on Thursday morning. The operation was led by Fahmida Afroz, executive magistrate of the district administration.

According to him and in response to the allegations of the college authorities, the shops have been evicted. Notice has been given to every shopkeeper before eviction. But they did not move their store. So the shops were evicted. Meanwhile, shopkeepers say they have not been given any notice. The administration suddenly came and evicted the shop.
A shopkeeper named Nasir Uddin told the media that he bought the shop with a lot of money. I have been doing business for a long time. There was no problem. Today (yesterday) the administration suddenly came and asked to remove the goods. We removed the goods. At one stage the shops were demolished.
