Who won 11 seats in Mymensingh?

Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : BNP-nominated ‘Pandaner Sheesh’ candidates won eight out of 11 seats in 13 upazilas of Mymensingh district. In addition, Jamaat-e-Islami and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis of the 11-party alliance won one seat each. An independent candidate won another seat.

The results of the Mymensingh constituencies were announced by District Returning Officer Mohammad Saifur Rahman on Thursday night. The elected officials received the official results from the Deputy Commissioner this morning.

Mymensingh seat-wise election results : Mymensingh-1 (Haluaghat-Dhobaura): According to the results announced by the District Returning Officer, independent candidate Salman Omar Rubel with the ‘horse’ symbol has unofficially won this seat by getting 108,265 votes. His nearest rival, BNP Central Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh with the Prince symbol, got 101,926 votes.

Mymensingh-2 (Phulpur-Tarakanda): In this constituency, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis candidate Muhammadullah won with a private symbol by getting 144,265 votes. His nearest rival candidate Motahar Hossain Talukder got 117,344 votes.

Mymensingh-3 (Gouripur): In this constituency, Engineer Iqbal Hossain, nominated by the paddy sheaf, has won unofficially by getting 74,478 votes. His nearest rival, independent candidate Ahmed Tayebur Rahman Hiron, with the ‘horse’ symbol, got 65,513 votes.

Mymensingh-4 (Sadar): BNP nominated candidate Abu Wahab Akand has unofficially won this seat by getting 177,891 votes. His nearest rival candidate, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Kamrul Ahsan Emrul, got 169,580 votes.

Mymensingh-5 (Muktagachha): BNP candidate Zakir Hossain Bablu won this seat by getting 127,917 votes. Meanwhile, his closest rival is Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand, Publicity Secretary of the Central Jamaat-e-Islami, who got 1876 votes.

Mymensingh-6 (Phulbaria): Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Kamrul Hasan Milon got 75,946 votes here. His nearest rival (independent) Akhtar Sultana’s football symbol got 52,669 votes.

Mymensingh-7 (Trishal): In this constituency, BNP nominated candidate Dr. Mahabubur Rahman Liton won 98,579 unofficial votes. His nearest rival, Jamaat’s Asaduzzaman Sohel, got 82,962 votes.

Mymensingh-8 (Ishwarganj): BNP nominated candidate Lutfullahel Majed Babu has won this seat unofficially by getting 107,577 votes. His nearest rival is LDP candidate Advocate Aurangzeb Belal who got 45,791 votes.

Mymensingh-9 (Nandail): BNP nominated candidate Yaser Khan Chowdhury has won this seat unofficially by getting 85,473 votes. His nearest rival AKM Anwarul Haque Chan of the 11-party alliance Bangladesh Development Party got 70,152 votes.

Mymensingh-10 (Gafargaon): BNP nominated candidate Akhtaruzzaman Bachchu was elected in this constituency by getting 74,638 votes. His nearest rival (independent) AB Siddiqur Rahman’s ‘Hans’ got 66,424 votes.

Mymensingh-11 (Bhaluka): BNP nominated candidate Fakhr Uddin Ahmed Bachchu has won unofficially by getting 110,214 votes. His nearest rival, expelled BNP leader and independent candidate Morshed Alam, got 65,591 votes.
