C T Online Desk: Mahmud Foysal, Staff Reporter : 96 Students who received scholarships under the Noakhali Noannai Jonokollan Sangstha Merdabhritti-2025 scholarship were felicitated in Noakhali.
On Saturday (January 24) afternoon, at the Bir Muktijoddha Enayet Ullah Auditorium of Bandherhat A.M. College, Noannai Jonokollan Sangstha, one of the social voluntary organizations of Sadar Upazila, presented certificates and crests to scholarship recipients from various educational institutions in the district.
At the same time, Noannai Jonokollan Sangstha President Md. Harunur Rashid presided over the function, and Noakhali Science and Technology University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail was present as the chief guest.
Noakhali Science and Technology University Deputy Controller of Examinations Md. Shafiqul Islam, Noakhali District Social Service Officer Jasim Uddin, Professor Mohammad Ullah Patwari, the organization’s advisor Professor Ismail Hossain Babul, Shibpur Muslim High School Headmaster A.F.M. Ismail Shibli, Noannai Jonokollan Sangstha Merit Scholarship Controller Lutfur Rahman Bhuiyan and Deputy Controller of Examinations Faruk Hossain Bakul spoke as special guests.
Also speaking were Noannai Jonokallan Sangstha General Secretary Amir Hossain Rahim, Bandherhat Genius Academy Director Muhammad Alamgir, Gorapur Madrasa Vice President Hosne Elahi Shaki, the organization’s Assistant General Secretary Faruk Hossain, Treasurer Nizam Uddin, Social Welfare Secretary Md. Russell, ATO Kabir Hossain and member Iqbal Hossain Rashed and many others.
In the speech of the chief guest, Dr. Muhammad Ismail said, “Brilliant students will lead the future. If they are properly cared for and encouraged, the country and the nation will benefit.” He urged the students to study regularly and develop moral values.
The organizers said that this reception program has been organized to make the students interested in studying. They said that such initiatives will continue in the future. At the end of the program, the scholarship recipients and their guardians expressed their gratitude to the organizers and commented that such initiatives will inspire the students to achieve better results.
It is known that on November 1, 2025, the merit scholarship exam was held at Maizdi Al Farooq School and College and Noannai Union High School Center in the district town. A total of 950 students of grades 4 and 5 participated in this first scholarship exam. A total of 96 people were selected for scholarships in three categories. Of these, 20 people in the talent pool and 44 in the school-based general category.
It is worth noting that the Nonnnai Jonokollan Sanstha was established in 2005 and has been working in the service of humanity. Monthly subscriptions and donations from the members of the organization and one-time donations from the wealthy are the main sources of income for the organization.
