Former evaly chairman Shamima Nasreen released on bail

C T Online Desk: Former chairman of e-commerce company evaly Shamima Nasreen has been released on bail in a money laundering case.

She was released from Kashimpur Women’s Central Jail in Gazipur at 5:15 pm on Wednesday (April 6).

Syed Shah Sharif, in-charge of Kashimpur Women’s Jail, confirmed the matter to media.

Dhanmondi police station on September 16 last year accused Nasreen of embezzling money. A businessman named Kamrul Islam filed the case.

He mentioned in the case that he had supplied goods worth Tk 35 lakh to the Dhanmondi office of Evaly. But Evaly did not pay his dues. Nasreen was shown arrested in the case filed by Kamrul Islam. She has been incarcerated ever since.
