C T Online Desk: Shakhawat Sabbir | Special Correspondent : The BNP has announced countrywide demonstrations for Saturday, demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible for shooting Sharif Osman Hadi, the Dhaka-8 independent hopeful and spokesperson of Inqilab Manch.
The announcement came on Friday afternoon during a discussion titled “Plan to Build the State” at the Krishibid Institute in the capital. Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the party’s senior joint secretary general, declared the programme while condemning the attack.
Rizvi said that miscreants had deliberately targeted Hadi, describing the incident as part of a “planned conspiracy.” He urged authorities to conduct a swift and impartial investigation and ensure the arrest of the perpetrators without delay.
He added that BNP leaders, activists, and all affiliated and associate bodies will hold protest rallies across Dhaka and nationwide on Saturday to press home their demand.
