C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University has distributed the ‘National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam BNF Scholarship’ cheques. On Sunday morning, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, was present as the chief guest at the cheque distribution ceremony in the conference room of the old administrative building of the university. The scholarship cheque distribution ceremony, funded by the Bangladesh NGO Foundation and organized by the local Shashi Foundation, was chaired by Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Dr. Md. Bakhtiar Uddin, and was attended as special guests by the University’s Treasurer Professor Dr. Zainul Abedin Siddiqui, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Professor Dr. Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar, and Registrar (Acting) Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman. Journalist Mokhlesur Rahman Sabub moderated the event, while Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Office, Dr. Md. Ashraful Alam, Executive Director of Shashi Foundation Sirajul Islam Kiron, and BRAC Migration Program Coordinator Firoz Ahmed were present.
It is worth noting that a total of 52 indigent and meritorious students of the university were given scholarship checks of Tk 6,155.
