Zubaida Rahman goes from Evercare to her mother’s home at Dhanmondi

C T Online Desk: A little over two hours after standing beside BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Khaleda Zia, Dr Zubaida Rahman— wife of the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman—left Evercare Hospital for her mother’s residence.

At 2:20pm on Friday, she departed for her mother’s home at Dhanmondi. Earlier, she had entered the hospital at 11:53am.

At around 10:45am on Friday, Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG302 carrying Zubaida landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Shortly after the decision was made to take the BNP chairperson to London, she boarded the flight from Heathrow Airport on Thursday afternoon London time.

Party sources said that if everything proceeds smoothly, the special air ambulance provided by the Qatar government to transport Khaleda Zia may depart for London on Sunday.

Among her family members, Zubaida Rahman—who arrived from London—and Syeda Shameela Rahman, the wife of Khaleda’s late younger son, Arafat Rahman Koko, who had been accompanying her in the hospital, will travel with her. Members of the medical board and security officials will also be on board.
