‘Simplify service quality to enhance lives of marginal people’

C T Online Desk: Nov 13, 2025- Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Department, emphasized the need to simplify government services to enhance the quality of life for marginalized communities.

He highlighted the importance of e-participation, which allows citizens to access information, share their views, and engage directly with the government.

Shish Haider Chowdhury made these remarks as the chief guest at a departmental-level exchange meeting aimed at exploring ways to involve civic organizations in promoting e-participation.

The meeting, held in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Department as part of the MRDI ‘Strategic Togetherness for Inclusive Development’ project, took place at the Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Conference room today.

He highlighted the challenge of unequal access to technology and stressed the importance of ensuring equal opportunities for all individuals to use technology with confidence. He called for collaboration between government institutions, NGOs, and private organizations, emphasizing the need for digital literacy.

The event was chaired by Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Mohammad Nurullah Noori, and a special guest speech was delivered by Director General of NGO Affairs Bureau (Additional Secretary) Md. Daud Mia ndc.

Additional Deputy Commissioners from districts under Chattogram division, divisional-level government officials, and representatives of civil society from various districts were present on the occasion.
