BNP Chief Khaleda Zia to Battle from Feni-1,Bogura-7, and Dinajpur-3

C T Online Desk: Special Correspondent | Shakhawat Hossain Sabbir : The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced its preliminary list of candidates for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, expected to be held in February under the interim government.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement at a press conference on Monday evening at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

Fakhrul said, “After 16 long years, the nation is set to witness a democratic election this coming February. For this election, we are announcing the list of potential candidates for 237 constituencies. In seats where our allied parties will field candidates, BNP will coordinate accordingly.”

He also revealed that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will contest the polls from Feni-1, Bogura-7, and Dinajpur-3 constituencies.

The decision was finalized at a meeting of the BNP Standing Committee, presided over by the party’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Senior BNP leaders including Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Maj. (Retd.) Hafizuddin Ahmed, Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Selima Rahman, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, and Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain were also present at the event.
