C T Online Desk: Special Correspondent, Feni In an anti-drug operation, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three drug peddlers — including two women — with 16 kilograms of weeds in Feni. The raid was conducted on Monday night (October 28) at the Feni bypass area.
According to RAB, acting on a tip-off, a private car traveling from Cumilla to Chattogram was intercepted. During the search, 16 kilograms of weeds wrapped in plastic were recovered from inside the vehicle.
The detainees were identified as Md. Khokon (40) of Khagrachhari, and two women — Mosha. Khorshida Begum (35) and Mosha. Rina (40) — from Cumilla.
RAB officials said the seized weeds is worth around Tk 2.5 lakh. A case has been filed against the trio under the Narcotics Control Act at Feni Model Police Station.
