Army Recovers Local-Made Firearms in Operation at Sonagazi

C T Online Desk: Special Correspondent,Feni : Members of the Bangladesh Army recovered locally made firearms during a special operation in Sonagazi upazila of Feni on Saturday night (October 19).

According to sources, the raid was carried out in the Paikpara area under Bagdad Union following intelligence reports. Acting on a tip-off, army personnel conducted a search at the residence of Mamataj Uddin Keshari and recovered several locally manufactured weapons from the premises.

The operation was conducted as part of a broader security drive to curb illegal arms possession and criminal activities in the region.

Law enforcement agencies said the recovered firearms have been handed over to Sonagazi Police Station for further legal action.

Local residents reported heightened security measures in the area following the raid, as authorities continue efforts to dismantle illicit arms networks in the coastal district.
