C T Online Desk: Oct 1, 2025- Liberation War Advisor Faruk-e-Azam today said Bangladesh must advance on the path of development through communal harmony, free from all forms of caste, religious or social discrimination.
“We want to build a peaceful Bangladesh where future generations can flourish,” he said.
The adviser made the remarks during a visit to the Joykali Bazar Kachikancha Puja Mandap and the Ramakrishna-Sarda Sevashram Puja Mandap in Sadar Union of Anwara upazila.
Faruk-e-Azam noted that Durga Puja has long been celebrated in Bengal as a festival that transcends religious boundaries, bringing together people of all faiths.
While it is a major religious occasion for the Hindu community, it has become a unifying cultural festival for the nation, he added.
As this year’s celebrations near conclusion, the Liberation War adviser expressed hope that the festival would end on a joyful manner.
Recalling the sacrifices made during the Liberation War, he said the spirit of unity and inclusivity must always remain a guiding principle for the nation.
He urged all communities to uphold traditions of religious harmony to strengthen peace and progress in society.
Following the visit, Faruk-e-Azam conveyed greetings to the Hindu devotees and called for nurturing practices that inspire unity and brotherhood.
