Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : Tarique Rahman will run the country with the people’s vote: Dr. Zahid
Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said that if there is any conspiracy or attempt from home or abroad against the elections announced in February, democracy-loving people will resist it.
He said, “In the coming days, Tarique Rahman will be elected by the people and will take the responsibility of running Bangladesh, InshaAllah.”
He made this statement while speaking as the chief guest at a program organized by Mymensingh Metropolitan, North and South District BNP on the occasion of BNP’s 47th founding anniversary at the city’s Town Hall Mukta Mancha on Monday afternoon.
Dr. Zahid Hossain also said that in light of the 31-point plan announced by BNP, the future Bangladesh will be the Bangladesh of all.
BNP Central Committee Joint Secretary General Emran Saleh Prince, Organizing Secretary (Mymensingh Division) Shariful Alam, Co-Organizing Secretary Abu Wahab Akand, South District BNP Convener Zakir Hossain Bablu, Member Secretary Rokonuzzaman Sarkar Rokon, Metropolitan BNP Convener Professor AKM Shafiqul Islam, North District BNP Convener Professor Enayet Ullah Kalam, Joint Convener Motahar Hossain Talukder, and leaders of Metropolitan, North and South District BNP and their affiliates were present at the event.
After the discussion meeting, a joyous rally circled the main roads of the city. Earlier, a separate huge rally was taken out from the city’s Railway Krishnachura square under the leadership of South District BNP convener Zakir Hossain Bablu and member secretary Rokonuzzaman Sarkar Rokon. A large number of leaders and activists participated in the rally carrying banners, festoons and placards.
