C T Online Desk: A fire broke out at the Sea Beach Bar and Restaurant of the Bangladesh Tourism Corporation on Station Road in Chattogram city. The blaze started on Monday around 8:45 am.
Khalilur Rahman, a wireless operator at the Chattogram Divisional Fire Service control room, confirmed the incident.
He said that upon receiving the news, three teams from the Nandan Kanan and Agrabad fire stations were dispatched to the scene.
Khalilur Rahman added that the fire was brought under control within half an hour. However, fire service personnel are still working to fully extinguish it. Senior officials are present at the site.
Last year, on 5 August, the Sea Beach Bar and Restaurant was looted, and its facilities were damaged. It was later repaired and reopened.
