C T Online Desk: Sarwar Ship Jewel Mymensingh : The body of a young man who converted from Hindu to Muslim has been recovered in Trishal, Mymensingh.
According to Trishal Police Station and local residents, on Thursday morning, an unidentified body was found in a newly planted paddy field next to the railway line near the house of late freedom fighter Chantara of Dhalaiman village near Kalir Bazar in Kanthal union of the upazila, and the local residents informed the Trishal Police Station. Later, the Trishal Police Station went to the spot and turned the body upside down, and the local residents identified the body. His name was Ratan Chandra Saha. However, the local residents said that Ratan married a Muslim girl in Jamalpur district a few days ago. Although his home was elsewhere, he grew up in his maternal uncle’s house in Nalchira village of Kanthal union of Trishal upazila. He went to his maternal uncle’s house on Wednesday as there was a function at his maternal uncle’s house on Thursday.
Trishal Police Station OC Mansur Ahmed confirmed the truth and said that the body has been recovered and the private parts have been circumcised. It is believed that he converted from Hindu to Muslim. He added that details will be announced after the investigation.
