C T Online Desk: Sarwar Ship Jewel Mymensingh : National and International Youth Day was celebrated in Trishal, Mymensingh with various programs under the theme ‘Technology-based Youth Power, Progress in Multilateral Partnership’.
The program included rallies, discussion meetings, distribution of youth loan checks, distribution of training certificates, and awarding of crests to successful self-help workers and successful youth organizers.
On Tuesday (August 12) at 10 am, a rally to mark the day started from in front of the Upazila Parishad and circled the important roads of the municipality before ending at the same place.
Later, a discussion meeting was held at the Rashedul Islam Conference Hall of the Upazila Parishad. Upazila Executive Officer Abdullah Al Bakiul Bari was the chief guest. Upazila Youth Development Officer Abu Akter Hossain presided over the meeting, and Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mohammad Shahidullah, Women’s Officer Shamima Sultana, former Trishal Upazila Jubo Dal President and PFG Trishal Upazila Branch Coordinator Mosharraf Hossain, Upazila Press Club President Sarwar Jahan Jewel and others spoke. Officials of various government departments of the upazila, leaders of various social and political parties, heads of various educational institutions, journalists of print and electronic media were present at the meeting.
At the end of the discussion meeting, checks worth Tk 19 lakh for youth loans were distributed among 19 youths who had received training in various fields, certificates were distributed, and certificates and crests were distributed among successful youth organizers, successful self-employed workers, and successful entrepreneurs.
At the discussion meeting, speakers emphasized on involving youth in job-oriented training, self-employment loans, organization-based volunteering and service activities to transform technology-based youth power into human resources by utilizing the youth’s triumphant journey.
