Sarwar Jahan Jewel, Mymensingh : Advocate M.A. Hannan Khan, joint convener of the Metropolitan BNP, former office secretary of Mymensingh South District BNP, former coordinator of the Mymensingh District Four-Party and Twenty-Party Alliance, and elected organizing secretary of the Mymensingh District Krishak Dal, has called for planting at least one tree on their own initiative to save the environment of Mymensingh city.
As part of the tree planting and tree distribution program initiated by the Green Mymensingh Campaign under the direction of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, tree planting and tree distribution were carried out in the Thanaghat, Old Gudaraghat and Beribandh areas adjacent to Islambagh in Wards 8, 9 and 18 of the city on Friday (July 4) afternoon despite the rain. Present at the time were Ward 9 BNP Joint Convener Rafiq Bhuiyan, Abdul Hekim, BNP’s Rana Gupta, Chhatra Dal leader Shamsul Hossain Babu, Farhad Bhuiyan, Green Mymensingh Campaign members Emon, Rafayet Khan, Samiul Alam Sumon, Ilham, Sudip Majumder, Rajan, Rana, Sifat and Ashiq. Sudip Majumder, Rajan, Rana, Sifat and Ashiq, among others, participated in the tree planting program on their own initiative.
