C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : Advocate M.A. Hannan Khan, joint convener of Mymensingh Metropolitan BNP, former office secretary of Mymensingh South District BNP and elected organizing secretary of Mymensingh District Krishak Dal, said, “Let’s build a green Mymensingh through joint efforts.”
He further said, “Let us leave our beloved city of Mymensingh as a green city for ourselves and future generations through tree planting and proper care.”
He has officially launched the program of planting and distributing 3,300 trees in 33 wards of Mymensingh city.
Advocate M.A. Hannan Khan said, “On the instructions of BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman, June-July is the most suitable time for tree plantation. During this time, I have planned to plant 3,300 trees in 33 wards of Mymensingh city.”
If we all plant at least 1 tree a year, the city will become green, cool and livable. I request all of you to participate in this campaign. Plant at least 1 tree each and inspire everyone by writing on your social media and posting pictures of the tree plantation.
Under the Green Mymensingh Campaign, tree planting and distribution of trees were carried out on Monday morning, June 30, at Premier Ideal High School, Kumar Upendra Vidyapeeth, Maulana Bhashani Government Primary School, Mukul Niketan High School and Kotwali Model Police Station premises in Ward No. 9 of the city.
During the distribution, teachers, students, parents, and local residents of their respective educational institutions participated in the program with enthusiasm and expressed their gratitude to the organizers.
