C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : The upazila administration on Saturday afternoon cleared an illegal fruit and raw market set up at the Trishal bus stand area on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Trishal, Mymensingh. The mobile shops, which had been sitting on the side of the highway for a long time, were removed in a drive led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman.
A mobile court was immediately set up and some people were fined Tk 11,500. At that time, Executive Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman said, “This market has been evicted many times, but it settled down again after a while. This time, regular surveillance will be conducted. Strict legal action will be taken if necessary.”
He also said that in the interest of highway safety and traffic movement, markets will not be allowed to operate under any circumstances. This initiative of the administration will continue.
