Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh: Mymensingh Clinic and Diagnostic Owners Association has formed a human chain demanding an end to extortion in clinics and diagnostic centers and the arrest of the terrorists. Owners, employees and drug dealers of various clinics and diagnostic centers were present at the human chain in the Charpara More area of the city on Tuesday (June 17) afternoon. At the time, speakers called on the administration to immediately bring the identified extortionists under the law and to ensure that general clinics and diagnostic dealers operate their institutions safely. After the human chain, a protest procession circled various roads of the city. Mymensingh Clinic and Diagnostic Owners Association Senior Vice President Shamsuddoha Masum, Vice President Saiful Islam, Joint Secretary Rezaul Haque Pappu, Habibur Rahman Milon, Organizing Secretary Mahbubur Rahman Sumon, Finance Secretary Babul Hossain, Metropolitan Member Secretary of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Al Noor Mohammad Ayas and other members of the association spoke at the human chain.
Shamsuddoha Masum, Managing Director of Swadesh Hospital Private Limited and Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Clinic and Diagnostic Owners Association Mymensingh, said, “We hope that the administration will arrest the identified terrorists and extortionists and bring them under the law. Even if that does not happen, I will go on a strict program.”
Recently, some terrorists demanded extortion from the owner of a private hospital in Baghmara of the city. After not receiving the extortion, the terrorists beat up the owner and attacked the hospital. In this context, the owners and employees of the clinic and diagnostic center held a human chain program. Earlier, the organization submitted a memorandum to the District Administrator demanding an end to extortion and the arrest of the terrorists.
