Partner Congress held in Trishal

C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel: A partner congress was held with farmers in Trishal, Mymensingh. The Partner Congress training began at the Trishal Convention Center located at Zero Point of the upazila on Sunday (June 1) afternoon. The day-long Partner Congress was organized by the Upazila Agricultural Extension Department with the participation of various professionals.

According to the Upazila Agriculture Office, this training was held under the Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Entrepreneurship and Resilience in Bangladesh (Partner) Congress program in the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

Dr. Salma Laiju, Additional Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Mymensingh Region, spoke as the chief guest at the training, chaired by Upazila Agriculture Officer Tania Rahman.

Dr. Nasrin Akhter Banu, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension, Mymensingh Region, and Salauddin Kaiser, Monitoring Officer of the Partner Project, spoke as special guests.

Upazila Agriculture Officer Tania Rahman said, “Food security has been ensured in our country. Now we need safe food production. We are trying to maintain the nutritional quality of the food produced to build a talented nation and utilize the potential of marketing through commercialization.” For this purpose, groups are being formed at the farmer and farmer level and organized by providing training to them.

Initiatives have already been taken to register cooperative departments by forming partner project teams in various unions of the upazila.
