Government sets office hours for Ramadan

C T Online Desk: The government has decided to set office hours during the month of Ramadan from 9am to 3:30pm, for all government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions.

The decision was taken at a regular cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasin, on Monday at the Secretariat.

The banking and financial institutions’ hours of operation have been extended to 9:30am to 4pm, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said while briefing reporters after the meeting.

The holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on April 2.
