C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : A mass procession of the Upazila Jamaat has been held in Trishal, Mymensingh, demanding protection of the sanctity of Ramadan and keeping the price of liquid goods at a tolerable level. On Friday (February 28) afternoon, a mass procession was taken out from the grounds of Trishal Abbasia Fazil Madrasa under the leadership of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Trishal Upazila branch A.N.M. Abdullahil Baki Noman. The procession circled the main roads of the municipality and ended with a rally at the local bus stand. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Mymensingh 7 Trishal constituency MP candidate Asaduzzaman Sohel addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Present at the gathering were Upazila Jamaat Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Shamim, Assistant Secretary of Upazila Jamaat Kamaruzzaman Shakil, Upazila Baitul Maal Secretary Nazrul Islam Babul and various leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami. In his speech as the chief guest, Asaduzzaman Sohel said that the prices of commodities are still high in the market and the poor and working people are in a desperate situation. Therefore, they asked the interim government to ensure that the prices of commodities remain stable during Ramadan and urged the administration to ensure that no hotel or restaurant is open during the day during the month of Ramadan.
