The victims are Liaquat Ali (59), executive engineer of Kishoreganj Health Engineering Department and Afzal Ahmed (35), the driver of the car. They have been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. Gafargaon Fire Service Office Station Officer Ramprasad Pal said, Engineer Liaquat Ali was on his way from Kishoreganj to the circle office of the Department of Health and Engineering when he reached Ganduriya area of Gafargaon, Mymensingh when the gas cylinder of the car suddenly exploded. At that time, the car lost control and hit the electricity pole on the side of the road and caught fire. On receiving the information, a unit of Upazila Fire Service went to the spot and brought the fire under control.
