C T Online Desk: A Chittagong court on Friday granted remand for two individuals accused in the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, who was fatally attacked during a clash on November 26.
The accused Chandan Das and Ripon Das were presented before Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Kazi Shariful Islam by the Kotwali police station.
Following the hearing, the magistrate approved a seven-day remand for Chandan and a five-day remand for Ripon, confirmed Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) AAM Humayun Kabir of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police.
The court proceedings were held under heightened security.
