Army chief applauds CMP for upholding national dignity

C T Online Desk: Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has applauded the role of the Corps of Military Police (CMP) for upholding the dignity of the nation on the international stage.

“CMP maintains discipline and security within the army, and its contribution to serving the motherland is invaluable,” General Waker said during the annual captain conference at the CMP Centre and School, located near Savar Cantonment, on Thursday.

Upon his arrival at the CMP Centre and School, the army chief was welcomed by the GOC, Army Training and Doctrine Command; the GOC, 9th Infantry Division, and Area Commander, Savar Area; and the Commandant of the CMP Centre and School.

General Waker exchanged views on various issues, including the Corps’ technological development, research, professional skills enhancement, and future plans.

He paid tribute to the valiant freedom fighters, including the brave soldiers of the CMP, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

He also praised the role of the CMP in the international arena and congratulated all members of the Corps for their dedication.

During his visit to Savar, General Waker inaugurated the newly constructed academic building of the Bangladesh National Cadet Core (BNCC) in Baipail.
