C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : A human chain and protest meeting was held in Trishal, Mymensingh against journalist ANM Tarek Hasan (Babu Sarkar) against spreading false, fabricated and baseless information on social media Facebook.
On Wednesday (November 20) afternoon, a human chain and protest meeting was held at Hadder Vita Bara Mosque intersection organized by the residents of Hadder Vita of Boylar Union of the upazila.
Speakers at the human chain and protest meeting said that journalist Babu Sarkar is a son of our area. We have known him since childhood. He is always available when called upon. His presence is visible in various social development activities of the area, religious work, danger. There is no question of his involvement in the malicious falsehoods being spread against him on Facebook. We strongly protest against the spread of these false and baseless information. We strongly demand that those who are promoting them be brought under the law.
When asked about the spread of false information on Facebook, journalist Babu Sarkar said that a nefarious group has been spreading false, fabricated and baseless information against the leaders, journalists and respectable people of Trishal from a fake ID on Facebook for a long time. I have already lodged a General Diary (GD) against this fake ID in Trishal police station. We are drawing the attention of the concerned authorities to track down those who are misleading the people by spreading such false information.
Hundreds of people from different classes and professions of the area participated in the human bond.
