C T Online Desk: Sarwar Jahan Jewel Mymensingh : Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Liton, Convener of Mymensingh District BNP and Member of BNP Standing Committee, visited various pujamandaps of Trishal on the Maha Ashtami of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community in Trishal, Mymensingh.
From Saturday (October 12) afternoon, he visited the worship halls set up in different unions of the upazila. Also exchanged autumn greetings with the Hindu community.
At that time, Dr. Liton said to the Sanatan religious people, you are ethnically Bangladeshi, why should you join a party. They use you. Criticizing the previous Awami League government, he said that those who were in power for the last 15 years have fled today. There is no such precedent in the history of the world that when the government of a country changes, starting from the Prime Minister of that country, all the ministers and MPs flee the country.
Referring to the looting and torture of the Awami League government, he further said that the Awami League government has done indescribable injustice and torture to the people. Due to which they are not able to stand in front of people now. They don’t have any idea that they will be able to stand in front of people in the future.
Stating that there is no word for minority, this leader of BNP said, I don’t know people as community or caste. I know as a Bangladeshi. You will remain united with this country and nation. You have the same rights as others. There can be no word minority. We all identify as Bangladeshis. In the past days when we were in power, we did your development activities, we will do it again in the future when we are in power.
