Former RAB chief, two other senior police officers sent on forced retirement

C T Online Desk: The government has sent three officials of the same rank, including the former director general of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Additional Inspector General (AIG) Barrister Mohammad Harun-Ar-Rashid, on forced retirement.

The orders for their retirement were issued in three separate notifications from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday.

The other two officers affected are AIG Mohammad Shahabuddin Khan, head of the Highway Police, and Dr Kh Mohid Uddin, a former additional commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), who is currently serving in the Tourist Police.

The notifications for their retirement were signed by Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen, senior secretary of the Ministry’s Public Security Division, in accordance with the president’s directive.
