Survey Diploma Engineers from various departments of the district participated in the strike under the banner of Anti-Discrimination Survey Diploma Engineers Student-Professional Rights Implementation Council. It is known that they will strike from 1 to 3 October from 9 am to 1 pm. Surveyor Salim Hasan (Bhaluka), Motiur Rahman (Headquarters), Shahidul Islam (LA Branch), Suder Kumar Mandal, Zahirul Islam, Arshedul Islam, Humayun Kabir Khan, Mamun Hossain, Feroz Hossain (District Council), Mohiuddin Ahmed were present. , Mohammad Abdur Razzaq, Nazrul Islam, Azharul Islam, Sarwar Alam, Ashraful Islam, Zahidul Islam Faisal, Nazmul Hossain, Haider Ali, Faisal, Belal Hossain, Rezaul Islam, Akaidul Islam, Yunus Ali Mithu, Rezaul Karim and others. Survey Diploma Engineers said that surveyors working in various departments of the government and survey diploma engineers working in equivalent positions are playing an important role in digital land survey, land management and land acquisition. But they are suffering from discrimination and deprivation for a long time. Engineers of the same level are working in 10th grade, but survey diploma engineers are working in 14th, 15th and 16th grade. Therefore, anti-discrimination Survey Diploma Engineers Student-Professional Rights Implementation Council is on strike to demand that the job be upgraded to 10th grade. They also said that in 2014, the Ministry of Finance was instructed by the Ministry of Public Administration to give 2nd class rank to Survey Diploma Engineers and raise the salary grade, but it was not implemented at all. Therefore, we demand the implementation of those instructions as soon as possible. Note that on September 11, through the Deputy Commissioners of all districts of Bangladesh, and through the heads of various organizations/departments, a memorandum was given to the chief advisor of the current interim government and on September 16, a press conference was held at the “Maulana Akram Khan” Hall of the National Press Club to inform the countrymen about the discrimination and long-term deprivation of surveying diploma engineers.
