C T Online Desk: ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation has distributed educational materials and foods among disadvantaged street children and school children at different points of the city on the occasion of 102nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day.
On Thursday (March 18) at 12 noon, under the management of former student leader Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar, food and educational materials were distributed among thousands of street children in Enayet Bazar, Station Road, Goalpara, CRB Shirish Tala, Nandankanan Buddhist Temple, Gate No. 2 of Sholashahar.
City Juba League leaders Ainul Islam Abed, Shibu Prasad Chowdhury, Nurul Azim Rony, Swechchhasebak League leaders M Qutub Uddin Chowdhury, Mohammad Taslim, Ratan Ghosh, Dipankar Rudra Bappa and Abu Taher Rana were present.
Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar said that today’s independent golden Bangladesh is due to the birth of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation. Bangabandhu established Sonar Bangla with a dream. Today, Bangladesh is on the verge of prosperity under the leadership of his worthy daughter, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. If the country is in the hands of Sheikh Hasina, not a single child of the country will be deprived. Bangladesh will be free from poverty and illiteracy, he added.
