C T Online Desk: Gono Odhikar Parishad, led by former Ducsu vice president Nurul Haque Nur, received registration as a political party from the Election Commission on Monday.
The party had applied for registration with the commission before the 12th general election, but at the time, the Election Commission did not grant the registration, sparking widespread criticism.
The related notification, signed by Election Commission Secretary Shafiul Azim, says that according to the provisions of the Representation of the People Order, Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) is registered as a political party with the Election Commission until further notice.
The party has been assigned the truck symbol, and its registration number is 51.
