Relief collection at TSC: Over 2.25C raised on third day

C T Online Desk: In light of the ongoing flood situation in the country, the relief campaign initiated by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University (DU) collected Tk2,25,47,470 from the booth alone on the third day of the drive.

This information was shared on the official Facebook group of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on Saturday night.

The relief collection drive will continue on Sunday as well.

On-site observations revealed that temporary booths were set up at several tables near the main gate of TSC, where hundreds of students and volunteers were receiving relief materials and financial contributions.

After being recorded at the relief booth, the donations were handed over to volunteers and taken inside TSC, where packaging was ongoing.

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement began its mass relief collection drive for flood victims last Thursday.

On the second day of the campaign, Friday, the initiative by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement raised Tk1,42,50,196 through cash and mobile banking channels, of which Tk1,08,23,173 was collected in cash.
