Students call for ‘resistance week’ program to press for 4-point demand

C T Online Desk: The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has called for a “Resistance Week” program based on four demands.

The week-long program begins on Tuesday.

Abu Baker Majumdar, a key coordinator of the platform, announced this.

He said: “As part of this program, on Tuesday, marches will be held across the country at the locations where our national heroes have been martyred during the protest. We will gather at these places to observe a minute of silence and offer prayers in memory of the martyrs.”

According to the announced schedule, the platform activists in Dhaka will gather near the Anti-Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture at Dhaka University at 3pm on Tuesday.

The four demands of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement are:

  1. A special tribunal must be established to ensure speedy trials of the massacres conducted using the fascist framework by fascist Hasina and her party and government.
  2. Participants in the planned murders, robberies, and looting of minorities by the Awami League and its allied parties of the grand alliance, which aim to discredit the mass uprising, must be quickly brought to justice, and the legitimate demands of the minorities must be acknowledged.
  3. Those in the administration and judiciary who have attacked, filed cases against, and legitimized the massacres during the uprising, and are repeatedly attempting to establish a fascist system, must be removed from office as soon as possible and be brought to justice in the new government.

4. Swiftly ensure equal opportunities for those in the administration and judiciary who have been victims of discrimination.
