C T Online Desk: Under the banner of the Anti-Discriminatory Student Movement, students on Friday, blocked the capital’s Science Lab area.
They demanded justice for the casualties from the violence surrounding the quota reform movement and the release of detainees, along with their nine-point demand.
A significant police presence was observed in and around the Science Lab area.
The protest march began in front of Baitul Mamur Jame Mosque at the Science Lab intersection after Jummah prayers.
The march then circled the Science Lab intersection, proceeded to the Multiplan Centre in Elephant Road, and returned to the Science Lab.
During the march, students chanted various slogans and declared that they would continue their movement until their demands were met.
The Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement on Thursday announced a nationwide prayers and mass procession for Friday to press home their nine-point demand.
The program was announced in a press release sent by Abdul Kader, a coordinator of the movement.
The campaign is being organized in memory of all those who were martyred, injured, arrested, or participated in the movement, it reads.
