C T Online Desk: Teachers from different universities, including Dhaka University (DU), held a rally protesting the attack on two DU teachers and the indiscriminate killing and detention of students across the country.
On Thursday at 11:30 am, the teachers, under the banner of Anti-Repression Teachers, began the protest rally at the base of the Aparajeyo Bangla on the DU campus.
Prior to this, at 10:00 am, teachers from the Public Administration Department of DU organised a rally, followed by another rally by the Economics Department teachers of the university at 11:00 am.
At the time, teachers were seen delivering speeches at the protest rally in the rain.
Earlier on 29 July, teachers from different universities held a rally demanding the release of students detained during the quota reform movement and the immediate reopening of educational institutions.
