C T Online Desk: Educational institutions were shut in mid-July as violence escalated during quota protests.
Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury on Monday said the situation is not conducive to reopening the educational institutions which were closed due to violence during the quota reform movement.
He said this while talking to reporters at the ministry’s conference room this afternoon before a meeting with a delegation of public university teachers to discuss the ‘Prottoy’ pension scheme.
When asked if any discussion was held in the cabinet meeting on the opening of primary schools, the minister refused to make any comment over the issue.
