During the game, Rohit Sharma became the first batter in the world to register 200 sixes in T20I cricket.
Rohit Sharma also became the batter with most sixes against a single opponent in international cricket.
Earlier, the Mitchell Marsh-led Australia elected to field first against the Rohit Sharma-led India after winning the toss in the Super Eight match of the T20 World Cup 2024.
The match was being played at Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet which was crucial for both sides to secure a semi-finals’ berth.
