C T Online Desk: The High Court has ordered the top three officials of the Transcom Group to surrender before the court within 72 hours after arriving in the country.
The order was pronounced on Sunday (March 31), following a petition filed by Shahzreh Huq, the youngest daughter of the late chairman of Transcom.
The bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman and KM Zahid Sarwar gave this order on the day.
The three are Transcom Group Chairperson Shahnaz Rahman, its Chief Executive Officer Simeen Rahman and Head of Strategy & Transformation Zaraif Ayaat Hossain.
Lawyers Nurul Islam Sujan, Mahbub Ali, Shah Manjurul Haque and Mohammad Siddique Ullah Mia heard on behalf of the top three executives of Transcom Group while Assistant Attorney General Abul Kalam Khan Daud appeared for the state.
Earlier on March 22, Shahzreh Huq lodged a murder case at Gulshan police station, alleging a conspiracy leading to the demise of her brother, Arshad Waliur Rahman.
According to the details provided in the case statement, Shazreh Haque asserted that she, along with her deceased elder brother Arshad Waliur Rahman and Simeen Rahman, were rightful heirs to all movable and immovable properties of their father under Muslim Sharia law.
