C T Online Desk: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday that head coach Chandika Hathurusingha will not present during Bangladesh’s second Test against Sri Lanka, which will start on Saturday (30 March) at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Assistant Coach Nic Pothas will be assuming the responsibilities in the absence of the head coach during this time.
“Head Coach will be traveling to Australia due to personal reasons, necessitating his immediate departure. BCB respectfully requests all stakeholders to accord Hathurusingha the privacy and understanding he requires during this period,” the board said in a statement.
