C T Online Desk: Rain and aquaculture in the lower part of Chattogram for the last four days, important roads and all lanes ,bylanes have been swept away in the rain.The dirt of the drain are now on the road. It has increased public sufferings.Due to the drainage system is stagnant, the water has not been able to move the water inside many houses and shops. Patenga Meteorological Office sources said the rain had received 50 millimeters in the last 24 hours .
It said that rains or thunderstorms could occur at 4-5 km per hour from the south or southeast of Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar districts till 4pm on saturday . Therefore, the river port of these areas has been asked to show the number one warning signal.
Meanwhile, Mohra, Hamidchar, Char Rangamatia, Chandgaon, Chandgaon, Chawkbazar, Katalganj, Kapasgola, Badratla, Bahaddarhat, Bus Terminal, Kaptai Road Head, Khwaja Road, Miakhan Nagar, Miakhan Nagar, Miakhan Nagar , whole Bakalia haven submerged from knee deep to waist deep water.
Besides, the roads of the city, including Agrabad, CDA residential area, Shantibagh residential, Chandgaon, Baklia, Chaktai-Khatunganj, Riaz Uddin Bazar, have been walking during the tidal area. Waterlogging has been created in different areas of Mehdibagh, Sholashahar No. 2 Gate, Muradpur, Chotapul-Burpool, Gosildanga and Halishahar also affected by the flash water and rain alongwith tidal water.
Somewhere on the main road of these areas, the knees, the waist somewhere, and the chest touched somewhere in the water. The boat has to be used to travel due to the road sinking.
Furniture and essential items are being wasted as the water is entering the house. The stove is not burning. Several products have been soaked in the commercial area of Chaktai-Khatunganj. The godowns, wholesale market of essential commodities in Chaktai-Khatungonj badly affected by rain water fears price hike of the essentials , sufferers sources added.
