State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam met Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture of India in New Delhi on Monday.
During the meeting, both the State Ministers expressed satisfaction on the ever growing bilateral relations between the two neighbouring countries and agreed to exert all efforts to bring it up to new heights.
They have also emphasised the need to elevate the level of engagement among the people from both countries to make the relations much effective, said the Foreign Ministry.
Before the bilateral meeting of the State Ministers, Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla paid a visit to Bangladesh delegation at the Pride Plaza Hotel and engaged in a warm discussion with them.
